An IMDEA Nanociencia student wins the award for best poster at the 9th Iberian Conference on Photochemistry

Asier García, award winner
- Asier García, a member of the Bioengineered Nanophotonics group led by researcher Sara Hernandez, received the award for his poster.
- The 9th Iberian Conference on Photochemistry, held in Segovia, is a scientific conference focused on the exchange of research and advances in the field of fundamental and applied photochemistry.
During the 9th Iberian Photochemistry Conference in Segovia, researcher Asier García—a doctoral student in the Bioengineered Nanophotonics group led by Sara Hernández at IMDEA Nanoscience—received a prestigious award.
This recognition was granted for his poster presentation, which focused on the photophysical and photochemical mechanisms of photosystems, as well as the engineering of biohybrid proteins.

Designed to highlight high-level research, the Best Poster Awards honor outstanding contributions presented by young researchers, primarily doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows, during the conference’s poster sessions.
Held in conjunction with the 2nd Franco-Iberian Conference on Photochemistry (II FICP), the 9th Iberian Photochemistry Conference (IX JIF) serves as a key scientific gathering dedicated to sharing advances in both fundamental and applied photochemistry.
